VICTORIA HITS BACK ALEX FERGUSON
UK (THE MIRROR) - Victoria Beckham launched a
withering attack on Sir Alex Ferguson last night over
the way he has tried to dump her husband David from
Manchester United. The Spice Girl said she was fed-up
with the Old Trafford boss upsetting her family with
his bullyboy tactics and declared she didn't care if
the midfielder never played for the Premiership
champions ever again.
In a clear hint the England skipper could be playing
his football abroad, Posh told Fergie: "You don't
bother us anymore." Victoria, on holiday in America
with David Beckham and their two sons Brooklyn and
Romeo, said to a friend: "He can do and say what he
likes now, it doesn't matter does it? I don't care."
Victoria spoke out after Fergie agreed a deal to sell
the United favourite to Barcelona if lawyer Joan
Laporta wins the Catalan club's presidential
elections, without telling the player. And her
comments came as Gordon Taylor, boss of footballers'
union the PFA, said Fergie had treated Beckham like a
"second hand car".
Posh also hit out at reports that she has the final
say on which club David Beckham, also a £25million
target for Real Madrid, will join if he leaves United.
She said: "It's entirely his decision and I am happy
to go wherever he wants. It's David's call which
country he plays in and who he plays for and always
has been. It's nonsense to say I will have the last
word. All that has ever mattered to me is that David's
happy with his football and if that means we go to
Spain or Italy than that is what we will do."
Brooklyn has recently started at nursery near the
Beckham's home in Cheshire but Victoria insisted a
move abroad would not cause too much upheaval. She
said: "It won't make any difference to our lives. I am
used to spending three or four days in London and the
rest of the time in Manchester depending on David's
schedule with United. It takes three hours to get to
Manchester anyway, so it's no different to flying to
Europe. Brooklyn's only just started nursery school so
it wouldn't be a problem to move. There are very good
English schools in Spain and Italy. But we could just
as easily keep him at school in England."
Sources close to the Beckhams said if David moves,
Posh may stay at their home near Sawbridgeworth,
Herts, and travel between England and Spain, with him
coming back when he is not playing. One added: "They
are confident they can still spend a lot of time
together as a family even if he is in Madrid."
