Victoria's romantic break in Paris

UNITED KINGDOM: Victoria Beckham forgave her husband for missing her
birthday for the second year in a row after he whisked her away for
a romantic break in Paris. The Spice Girl and the England soccer
star looked smitten with each other as they strolled arm-in-arm
through the romantic French capital yesterday after flying into the
city on board a private jet filled with rose petals.

A source said: "She didn't know she was going to Paris. It was a
surprise. Victoria was thrilled at the trouble David had gone to.
She thought it was such a romantic gesture. He told her to get ready
for a lunch in Madrid. But they ended up at the airport." The
superstar couple then enjoyed a champagne breakfast before David
treated his wife to a tour of the city in a chauffeur-driven Bentley
and splashed out on a necklace from exclusive jeweller Dubail before
retiring to their sumptuous £3,000-a-night Ritz hotel suite.

But the high-profile pair, famed for their extravagant taste, drew
mixed responses for their sartorial choices. New mother Victoria,
who gave birth to the couple's third son, Cruz, less than two months
ago, cut a dash in a sheer designer ensemble that showed off her
post-pregnancy figure. But David drew criticism for his ripped jeans
and scuffed boots which he wore with an open-necked shirt and dinner
jacket. A source said: "Posh looked stunning. But it was a bit of a
disappointment to see him. He is supposed to be a fashion icon but
looked a bit of a mess on his wife's birthday." - SGA
