The SpinCycle group is maintained by Jim Sowers to announce cultural events, discuss politics, unicycling, foosball, energy, grammar, travel, pet peeves, and whatever else happens to be on Jim's mind.

The cultural events are generally ones in which Jim is taking part in some way (DJ, Dancer, Promoter, etc.), and are often related to the African Diaspora--including Salsa (Cuban and non-Cuban), Soca (Trinidad & Tobago), Reggae, Merengue, Soukous, Zouk, Hip-Hop, Punta (Garifuna), Samba, Pagode, Batucada, and more!
