Re: [srv] Stevie bein' laid back etc....
stevie wouldn't want all this fussin over him.he was just that humble.as for the one that said that they saw all stevie's shows, and have 1000's of photos, and videos, and got into his gigs for free, what in the world are you bothering to fuss about?have you ever considered yourself truly lucky to have been able to see stevie in concert, and have tons of his photos?i mean i have a 9 year old son who just worships stevie-(actually,we all sort of do!)he wants to dress like him, sing like him,and he just admires him.you have experienced the experience of a lifetime-you've probably had the pleasure of knowing stevie on a personal level-something my son dreams about, but will never experience.i mean, being a loyal, and 100% fan of stevie,i would consider myself blessed to have had the pleasure of knowing him or going to his concerts.i would,as the rest of us would,be on top of the world.in this household,we are still having a hard time dealing with his passing.even though we're grateful we have discovered the ultimate musician,we feel cheated somehow because we learned about him after his passing.i would give the world to be able to give my son a concert ticket for his birthday on the 24th,and say"here's a ticket for a srv concert",but unfortunately,i can't.even my 4 year old daughter has announced her love for stevie and wants to marry him.just last night, she said she saw a helicopter, and it somehow reminded her of that night 11 years ago.it affects all of us that way.as my son has so eloquently put it,"life isn't fair"...... we have a hard time listening to his song,"life without you",as it seems to apply to stevie.i'm considering looking into stevie's brother jimmie's concert dates to see if he'll be in my area anytime soon.at least we can somehow console ourselves in the thought that all is not lost,as we have jimmie to look to,because he's stevie's brother.while he can never replace him,at least we can let jimmie step in to ease the pain of stevie passing........thanks for letting me share....... stevie lives on in our hearts and souls....................
