Re: Stevie & all this fussin'....   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #183 of 658 |

You're right, when you say he was so humble. (Which helps make
my previous points for me.) And hey, thanx for your input. You
& your family are great fans. It doesn't matter WHEN you discovered
him. It only matters that he's affected all of you so strongly
& in such a good way.

And good luck to your son. He probably won't need it though...he's
obviously ALREADY got his head on straight. My kids look up to
Stevie also. I wish they looked up to him AS MUCH as your 9 year
old though. (It would make them even better "people" later on
in life.)

And yeah, I'm also incuding the wrong turns Stevie took in his
life. All of his young fans (AND older fans)need to know that
even the greatest of us can screw up. But that it's how we get
through those screw-ups that REALLY determine our TRUE character.
And we all know what Stevie's "true" character was like.

ANYWAY, I'll shut up, for now.

humble.as for the one that said that they saw all stevie's shows, and
have 1000's of photos, and videos, and got into his gigs for free, what
in the world are you bothering to fuss about?have you ever considered
yourself truly lucky to have been able to see stevie in concert, and
have tons of his photos?i mean i have a 9 year old son who just
worships stevie-(actually,we all sort of do!)he wants to dress
like him, sing like him,and he just admires him.you have experienced
the experience of a lifetime-you've probably had the pleasure
of knowing stevie on a personal level-something my son dreams
about,but will never experience.i mean,being a loyal,and 100%
fan of stevie,i would consider myself blessed to have had the
pleasure of knowing him or going to his concerts.i would,as the
rest of us would,be on top of the world.in this household,we
are still having a hard time dealing with his passing.even though
we're grateful we have discovered the ultimate

><div></div>>Yeah, Stevie was laid back. He also wasn't a snotty/elitist

><div></div>
><div></div>>what I meant when referring to "most" people in

><div></div>
><div></div>>& how HE was as a person.
><div></div>
><div></div>>
><div></div>
><div></div>>I only know that my wife started THIS SRV group
because it's
><div></div>
><div></div>>supposed to be a place where Stevie Ray fans can

><div></div>>& talk about any damn thing they want. (Related

><div></div>>Ted, free speech, what they ate for dinner, what
