STAR'S END Update 09.24.06   Message List

With MOONWATER (63'26"), Rudy Adrian celebrates the touching
and easy moods of environmental musical fantasy. This work
hopes to take the listener out of the real world, and all its
uncertainty and isolation, and into Adrian's personal Eden. The
nine idyllic compositions are quieting to the mind and envision a
harmonious and tame nature. Adrian unitizes a number of
interesting methods to portray and convey his convictions
including, native flute, field recordings, lilting piano melodies,
pleasant synthesizer tones and his own voice, all routed through
cavernous reverberation. The grandeur of MOONWATER's
consonant harmonies is grounded by detailed and imaginative
electronic modulations just beneath an aural glow which seems
to surround each composition. The result is beautifully flowing
and transporting music, contemplative for the mind yet warming
to the heart.

Tune in to STAR'S END this weekend for music from
MOONWATER, the new CD from Rudy Adrian

Ian Boddy - STAR'S END Archive Recordings

Ian Boddy's music consistently sounds fresh; seeming to exist in
an eternal now. Continually coming up with new ideas and
approaches on each release he is involved in, Boddy is always
redefining his relationship with Electronic Music. His innovative
contributions to Electronica retain fragments of a time gone by
and make for a daring and passionate vision of a present
constantly slipping into the past. A prolific performer, Boddy is
credited with over 90 live appearances. He has performed at
concerts in Britain (EMMA, UK Electronica, Jodrell Bank
Planetarium), Holland (Klemdag, E-Live, Alpha-Centauri),
Germany and Stateside at The Gatherings Concert Series.

Ian Boddy made a rare performance in the USA on 20 March
2004 at The Gatherings (Philadelphia's premiere concert series
of innovative music). Following the concert, Boddy played live on
STAR'S END. This weekend STAR'S END will feature an excerpt
from this on-air performance.
