STAR'S END Update 01.28.07   Message List

With Radio Massacre Int'l it's tough to know whether their music
heralds the creation of the world or its end. On LOST IN SPACE,
their six disc compilation, RMI presents music for either
occasion, as well as alien invasion, cryogenic dreaming,
zero-gravity chillout zones and (the ever popular) cosmic longing. Steve
Dinsdale, Duncan Goddard and Gary Houghton have been working together as Radio
Massacre Int'l for a long time. Through the years this trio has developed a
distinctive style set on transcending individual consciousness. Based on
intuition and the creative exploitation of technological advances (and
recessions) in electronic music, RMI live in the context of
long-form spacemusic improvisations. LOST IN SPACE consists
of the most successful of these affairs. Made up of concert
rehearsals, formless jam sessions, rough sketches and
companion pieces to commercial releases, this collection leads
the listener past RMI's external persona and into the deeper
secrets of the band's make-up and motivations.

Tune in to STAR'S END this weekend for music from LOST IN
SPACE

CLOUDSEEDER by Wave World

Wave World is a synthesizer and computer based musical
project including Dutch members: Gert van Santen, Harry
Kessels and Rolf van Slooten. Their style of music is decidedly
in the post-New Age Ambient sphere and remarkably well suited
to the widescreen computer-generated film it accompanies in
the live medium. The combination of solar system fly-bys, virtual
pollen sprays and some very psychedelic alien landscapes is
breathtaking.

Wave World made their stateside concert debut in Philadelphia
on 13 October 2001 at The Gatherings Concert Series. The
multi-media event included music drawn from Wave World's
three studio albums of electronic spacemusic and images from
their award-winning computer animated films. Following this
concert, Wave World performed live on the 10.14.01 broadcast of
STAR'S END Ambient Radio. The duo realized two 30 minute
sets of floating, abstract spacemusic and demonstrated their
great ability to improvise music as well as their vision as artists.
These two tracks were released by Virtual Factory in Winter 2002
on the double CD, CLOUDSEEDER.

Tune into STAR'S END this weekend for music from
CLOUDSEEDER by Wave World, the live album recorded on the
10.14.01 broadcast of STAR'S END.
