STAR'S END Update 010.07.07   Message List

The collection SACRED TREASURES V: From a Russian
Cathedral (51'17") includes 16 contemplative and uplifting
compositions for choir. These striking works by Rachmaninov,
Tchaikovsky and others fit in just as well broadcast on STAR'S
END as they do sung at church services. Within reverberant
sanctuaries, solemn voices sing out and combine in beautiful
harmony. With choral texture evoking spiritual communion, the
sweet melancholy and endless harmonies found in these
pieces provide a vivid impression of the divine. In this
magnificently expressive medium meaning comes from the
relationship between notes. SACRED TREASURES bestows an
ethereal atmosphere upon the listener. Though meant to
transmit feelings of spirituality, the music on this CD is also a
tribute to the depth of human emotion.

Tune in to STAR'S END this weekend for choral music from
SACRED TREASURES V: From a Russian Cathedral
