STAR'S END Update 10.14.07

STRATARADIALIS (53'55") by Cymphonic is as wispy as a dream you cannot
recollect. This work appears to be a multi-movement piece in nine
distinct parts, yet it maintains cohesion beneath the surface. The
rhythms here are more telluric than metronomic, with the chirps and
croaks of crickets and frogs, the drawing and release of breath, the
ebb and flow of tides and the coming and going of the seasons running
their own distinctive loops. Synth pads mingle beautifully with
whispering voices and environmental field recordings to create a range
of sonic states and moods. The soft distortion from one dark area
yields to the bright tone paintings of another in this wonderfully
varied ambient landscape. STRATARADIALIS is an intriguingly complex
journey into sound. Drawing on the powerful themes of "Ancient Leaves"
and "Substrata", Cymphonic gives us his homage to the cosmos - tempered
with the irony of the digital age.

Tune in to STAR'S END this weekend for music from the new CD
STRATARADIALIS by Swedish electronic musician Cymphonic
