Actually Rys seems to know steve and lorenzo quite well. From what I understood
of our conversation, it is extremely hard for lorenzo to get one done, even if
he has most of the parts to just put it together.
such a shame.

My heart jumped twice when I read the topic,
"took delivery of my very first Klein" seemed imply to me, that you got a BRAND
NEW ONE FROM LORENZO DIRECTLY, insinuating that he might be back in business.
Alas, when reading on it was - of course - nothing like that...
... don't scare us like that...
.. we have faint hearts..especially those who have made deposits.

got one with standard size dots in MOP, but it is hard to see the difference
from what ever the standard material is...abalone might stand out more, but I
always liked the idea of having the dots on the top back, like some classical
guitars (actually some classicals have none whatsoever, those are for real men I
guess just to know where they are on the fingerboard by feel or visually)

fluorescent or glow in the dark type side dots would be great, is there such a

Sure hope it's a natural finish. Otherwise you could see cracking and chipping
if the wood doesn't have room to expand/contract.
