One of the fun things about this job is the wide variety of places I get to play. I still get a little thrill out of playing a beer joint Saturday night and getting up in the morning to play a Unitarian church. Not to mention political rallies, picket lines, coffeehouses and caves. But after all these years, I'm just getting around to playing my first biker bar. Looks like a pretty friendly biker bar. I mean, only in North Austin would you find a biker bar that's smoke-free. In any event, they're trying out acoustic music during Sunday happy hour, and I'll do my best to make it a little bit happier. This will be a solo show, and you can bet I'll play all the raunchy tunes off my "Mazola" CD. They've got a full line of burgers and fajitas to go with the cheap beer - what more could you ask? Just don't request "Born to be Wild."
