We interrupt this calendar for a commercial announcement, and there's the rub. My sweetheart Paula Held, the singing massage therapist, will be moving here from Florida mid-month and setting up practice. Her note below talks about her schedule and her rates. Last but not least, I want to encourage y'all to vote next Tuesday, Nov. 8, and vote No on Proposition 2, the Texas Marriage Amendment. I'm sure you're familiar with the arguments pro and con, so I'll just add the personal note that some of the most stable, committed couples I know are gay ones. I support them, and Texas law ought to.

Dear Folks,
Recently I came to Austin and had the good fortune to offer and give massage to many of you during my stay. While I was there, I took and passed my test for Texas licensure, played some gigs with my sweetheart, your friend Steve, and had an el grande time.
Since being back in Florida, I've sold some property, done a lot of massages, brushed up on my Spanglish, and feel relatively ready to rumble down the road, dog and guitar beside me, and blend my own with the lights of Austin the night of November 16th.
I'll be setting up my massage practice out of the home of a friend in South Austin and I'm already booking appointments for the last two weeks of November. Below are my hours and rates. If you know of anyone looking for an LMT (I know, there just aren't enough in town), I'll be offering reasonable beginning rates, and a sliding scale for those who just can't afford it otherwise. Please pass the word along to others as you feel comfortable.

First session:

One-hour and fifteen minute massage (available late afternoon appointments only):
$60.00 (you can book for an hour, and decide at the end of the hour to add on)
One-hour, at-your-home (onsite) massage (available Sunday afternoons only):
