I'll be all over Austin this week, in every format from live to band to radio to MP3. If you never leave the comfort of your computer, you can listen in to my first podcast, on Jeff Tveraas' Austin Connection. It's a half-hour interview, interspersed with live performances of my songs "Santa Fe," "Dead Poets Society," "Top-Dollar Gas" and "Single New Star" and an old O.Henry Pun-Off routine, "Carstianity." To listen on your computer, or download to IPod for listening later, point your brower to: http://www.austinconnection.net/MP3/06_AC_SBrooks.mp3 . Directions: Rover's is in a strip shopping center just south of the Spicewood Springs exit. It faces Jollyville Rd., just past Krispy Kreme and Kerbey Lane. But save your appetite - they have some of the best burgers and best pizzas in town. You'll need a hundred beers to wash them down.
