My inner child's been getting a workout lately. I've been playing a series of children's shows at public libraries, and this weekend, the Sustainable Food Center will stage a world premiere of my first kid's song. They commissioned me to write a theme song to help kids keep their weight down by encouraging them to eat their fruits, veggies and whole grain. It's called "You Are What You Eat," and you and your kids can hear it this weekend at the Back to School Healthy Food Fair at the Austin Farmer's Market. I'll be playing it at noon and 12:30.
And for those of you who live around Round Rock, Paula and I have a couple of shows coming up. I'll be her sideman this Friday at the Common Grounds Coffeehouse. And we'll be playing a joint show the second Saturday in September right downtown at Junior's, the bar formely known as Hole in the Wall. All the details below.
