My newest project will debut this Saturday, March 24, at B.B. Rover's. I've joined the bluegrass trio The Crabby Grass Boys, with my buds Alton Rex and Chris Beirne. I'll be playing lead guitar and - in a radical departure for me - seeing how high I can go, singing the top part of those high, lonesome three-part harmonies.
The following Saturday, you can catch me again at B.B. Rover's, in a more traditional role: as one-half of Brooks & Held, singing mostly originals by myself and Paula. If the weather's as nice as it's been the past few days, we'll probably be out on the patio.
In the meantime, you can now hear "What Would Molly Do?" as my song-of-the-month at www.stevebrooks.net. Even better, by Saturday, the single will be in the hands of several DJs at KUT. Give a call to Dave Oberman, Ed Miller, John Aielli or Larry Monroe and tell 'em you'd like to hear it.
Peace through Music,
Steve
