I had a funny thought the other day. I was listening to Rick
Wakeman's album "Criminal Record" which is all music. Wakeman gets
down on those keyboards in this album and it's a fantastic album.
Myself, I love the sound of a synthesizer. Patric and Rick were
both members of Yes and obviously both played keyboards for that
band. Both are excellent keyboardists.
With the departure of Mike Pinder from the Moody Blues, the moodies
chose Patrick Moraz to take his place. We all know the results of
such a choice. I was wondering what would the Moodies sound like if
they had chosen Rick Wakeman to replace Mike Pinder instead of
Patrick Moraz? Most definately the Moodies sound would have taken
an even more drastic turn that it did with Moraz. I also wonder if
Rick Wakeman would have even fit in with the Moodies since he is
just as particular about his music as the Moodies were.
Would love to hear some of your thoughts about this.
Peace,
Michael
