1. ANNE MARIE HURST
We’re proud to announce the first solo album from the former Skeletal Family and Ghost Dance singer!  Anne Marie is backed by original Skeletal Family members Trotwood and Stan Greenwood.  The album also features guests PAUL WELLER and OCEAN COLOUR SCENE’s Steve Craddock.
Skeletal Family regularly topped the UK indie charts in the 80’s and toured with the likes of Sisters Of Mercy and Siouxsie & the Banshees.  Following two albums they split, and Anne Marie Hurst formed Ghost Dance, who signed to Chrysalis for a national chart album and toured with The Ramones. 
Now, after a 20-year hiatus, Anne Marie is reunited with Skeleton Family founder-members Trotwood and Stan Greenwood for this new album.  It features guest appearances from Paul Weller and Ocean Colour Scene’s Steve Craddock.  It was recorded at Paul Weller’s studio, and mixed by Steve Carey of The Eden House. 
Anne Marie and the band have been gigging across the UK and Europe over the past two years, showcasing both her back-catalogue and new songs, rekindling her strong fan-base.

2. BONE ORCHARD
The first time on CD for this cult Post-punk / Gothic / Psychobilly 80’s band from Brighton.  A comprehensive 17-track anthology of the best of their series of Jungle releases, PLUS DVD with seven video promo clips + seven archive live performance tracks, and 12-page booklet with 1,000-word history by Grave Jibes webzine editor and the Inca Babies' Harry S, plus lyrics and photos.
Bone Orchard grew out of an alternative Brighton nightclub ‘Subterfuge’ run by singer Chrissy McGee in 1983.  John Peel gave them a session, which led to a record deal with Jungle.  Their debut 6-track EP ‘Stuffed To The Gills’ was followed by ‘Swallowing Havoc’, and the album ‘Jack’, on which they added violin and piano, with a bluesier, jazzier sound.  Their final Jungle release was ‘Princes Epilepsy’ 12”.  They gigged with The Birthday Party, Jeffrey Lee Pierce, Alien Sex Fiend, Johnny Thunders & The Meteors, and issued a mini-LP on their own label before splitting in 1986.  This compilation includes the best of the Jungle recordings on CD, and seven video promos, plus bonus live footage on DVD.

double live album and DVD on March 5th 2012.
  Subtitled Ad Mortem , Ad Vitam (To Death, For Life), this release
marks the closing of one chapter in Fields Of The Nephilims history
paving the way for what is soon to come.

As frontman Carl McCoy
  says: "The Ceromonies project is about crystallising a point in time
which embodies magical moments created by Fields Of The Nephilim. Having
  focussed on the live elements over the last few years this represents a
  closure and regeneration. Ceromonies is a representation and
remembrance of where the Nephilim is right now, from this point we move
forward. We continue to evolve."

Recorded over two sell-out shows
  at Londons Shepherds Bush Empire, Ceromonies features songs from
their earliest days such as Trees Come Down and Preacher Man,
through a series of undeniable classics including Moonchild,
Psychonaut and a rare performance of Celebrate, whilst taking in the
  dramatic soundscapes of the mid-90s Nefilim incarnation
(Penetration, Shine and Zoon), and coming right up to date with
the band performing tracks from their most recent studio album Mourning
  Sun.

Ceromonies also includes a very rare live performance of
  Wail Of Sumer / And There Will Be Your Heart Also, the thirteen
minute, elegiac finale of the bands landmark Elizium album.

Following
  hot on the heels of Octobers sold-out Brixton Academy show, which not
only had queues of devoted fans stretching around the building for hours
  beforehand desperate to get in, but saw the band deliver an incredible
set of old and new to rapturous acclaim, Ceromonies is a breath-taking
  document of Fields Of The Nephilims musical dominance over metal,
gothic and industrial music for the past three decades.

As a
visual document, the DVD captures the true essence of the band, bringing
  the ritualistic nature of their live show to the screen and
demonstrating the quite remarkable power of their performance.
Beautifully edited and directed by Carl McCoy at his visual production
company, Sheer Faith, it is a striking example of why this most elusive
and mysterious of bands has been revered for so long.

The
double-CD set  only the second live album the band have ever released
and a perfect companion to its live predecessor, 1991s legendary Earth
  Inferno  is a sensory treat; the enormous sound and brooding
instrumentation of the band bursting forth from the speakers, crowned
with McCoys haunting incantations and tour-de-force vocals.

Ceromonies
  is released as a 3-disc digipack featuring the double CD live album and
  DVD, a two-disc vinyl album, and a digital download album featuring the
  bonus track Last Exit For The Lost.

Hi gang,

After years of hand-coding the html and xml for the Sumerland news
page and RSS feed, I've switched that portion of Sumerland.net to
Blogger.com. You can find the new page here:

You can still get to it if you go to Sumerland.net and click on "news"
-- and the news archive is still accessible from the news page as
well.

This is going to make life easier for me, but will also allow me to do
some more high-tech stuff that will make the news page more fun to
read and follow.

If you're subscribed to the RSS feed for the old news page, you'll
need to re-subscribe to the new one; sorry about that. If you're not
subscribed, might as well do so now. :)

I've also pared back Sumerland.net, removing some sections that were

This is just a tad skewed Mark, as it makes it sound like these bills were the idea of the US government. They are corporate, lobbied for by corporate lobbyists, but yes they are in the Senate at present because that's how things work here. It is my understanding that the corporations involved are the communications corporations, which control much of the movie, entertainment, music and publishing business here. Piracy is an issue but not everyone is a pirate and those who aren't will suffer for those who are, if these pass.

The Eden House We can now confirm that The Eden House will be performing at the
