Golly perkins, is it all right to cuss a little. A lot of misfit
descriptions is all. Anyhow two months ago my hair was spiked ( you
know, 2 inches tall)but I don't really f______ing care, it was the
operation that started this...maybe not though. Now I reall don't
f__g care, and my length is longer today.
Go back and be happy.
Let it be.
Tarzan never used a comb.
All sincerity is put to the spot of pulling my hair out looking for
my own space. No answer, is good. My friends won't answer either.
The biggest staredown in town.
If it is not west of the Mississippi, where is Superchunk now?
It is hard to get up and move...need momentum or something for my
head. Gotta go.............gone.

What's up y'all?
Nashville sucks, ok? No Superchunk. Period. Anywhere. They
haven't been played on the radio here in like 6-7 years. Most people
here ask "Super chunk of what?" when I mention them. Does anyone
have any info about whether they might ever play here again?
I read where somebody was saying that their tour avoided the
southeast in general. What's happened? This part of the country
used to produce and support cool, original music in a big way.
Just trying out the sincrow? Hope this works in Java. Gotta feed JAVA.
No this is not a message of any sort but a plea to obtain, before the
lashings occur, to edit my calendar. More frogish attitude, but to
be careful before i joust using my right arm.
My friend Johnny went to the July 12 show and wrote up a little thing
about it for Glorious Noise:

Isn't it nuts how many kids go to these shows who don't even know
what Superchunk's all about?

Here's the set list from the electric factory show 7/3/02
It's not exactly in order, but the first and last songs are right...

Does Your Hometown Care?
Without Blinking
On the Mouth
Driveway to Driveway
Art Class
Florida's on Fire
The First Part
From the Curve
Punch Me Harder

Slack Motherfucker
==================
I don't think I left anything out, someone correct me if I did...
Great show, too bad most of the people were there for TGUK...
Anybody else have any setlists from this tour?
Hey, what goes on? It looks like this club is rockin'. I havent been
here in a while, but I was the one who started up this beast. Its
awesome to see sooo many people keeping it going. Saaweet.
Anyway, i was wondering if anybody in the Chicago area was going to
any of the 3! shows we are being treated to, and if so, would anyone
like to get together & get to know some other 'Chunk fans?
Even if youre not in the Chicago area but will be for the shows, you
are more than welcome to get in on this too. You can either email me
or post here and maybe we can all get something worked out. I think
that would be intere
You can get Clambake #1 at CD Alley in Chapel Hill.
If you're living in Thrill Hill now, don't worry. Including the in-
store performance (1st Clambake set), I've seen the 'chunk 3 or 4
times in the past year alone...plus 2 Portastatic shows. Plus,
you'll be making the trip to Raleigh for some shows at King's anyway
(arguably the coolest band-club in the Triangle).

You know, I used to complain that the Chunk never played my hometown
of Columbia,SC. I figured that since I'm moving to CHAPEL HILL in
June, that maybe I'd actually get to see a show without a major road
trip involved. NOPE! I guess to spite me the chunk decided to avoid
their own hometown (not to mention most of the southeast once again)
for this tour. I'll have to make the mini trip to Raleigh.
Anyway... Does anyone know where you can get the "official" chunk
bootleg CD, other than shows?
On a positive note, I must applaud the Chunk for touring with the Get
Up Kids, as they rawk the casbah.

hEY thanks a lot for giving me those bands to check out. I'll see if
I can get my hands on some of those from the record shop. I see you
like the Jealous Sound. The guys voice is a little irritating. Too
soft or something. The music is good though. So you into Saves the
Day? The new album is pretty original, less pop punk, more indie
sound. Been listening to Jeff Buckley, Indie or not, that guy had a
voice like an angel. Hope all is well. Get up kids new album out in
two days wooooooo hooooooooo!!!! Take care all.

You've come to the right place. If you like the 'chunksters and Get
Up Kids, check out the following. My guess is that many of these are
sitting on Mac's, Jim's, Jon's, and Laura's CD racks...
-> knapsack ("this conversation is ending, starting right now" is
amazing) - this band broke up late 90s; frontman is now lead for the
jealous sound, another great band
-> ashley stove - raleigh, nc band; on 'chunk's label, merge
-> archers of loaf - another chapel hill gem - early 90s; sadly,
broken up. a must for any indie enthusiast
-> seam - band on touch and go records; mac from superchunk was
original drummer. they put out records very infrequently and have
been on hiatus for about 4 yrs. moody, enchanting guitars, soft
vocals.
-> pinehurst kids, rival schools are modern-day derivatives of the
aforementioned, but guilty pleasures nonetheless
enjoy.

I'm going to saturate myself with the shows north of DC and south of
Connecticutt. Unless I get fired then I will be at all of the shows

I found a CD by Death Cab For Cutie called "The Photo Album" that I
really like. It would go well with any 'Chunk after "Indoor Living."
Also, I like Hot Water Music, which would go well with earlier
'Chunk.

Hey everybody, I just joined the club. I really like the chunk, my
friends arent really into them though. I like the get up kids and no

check out. I'm always ready to listen to good new music. Any one
going to see the get up kids in l.a. in June?

well, i can't disagree with this title. they truely lived up to it
tonight at the castro theatre in sf. the music was amazingly fresh and
charged. superchunk was the perfect choice to accompany the film "page
of madness" which i recommend everyone see. it in itself was a
masterpiece way ahead of it's time. the score emphasized and enlivened
the film so much. i only hope they put it out on cd!? sincere regrets
to those who missed it. - rbk
Look at this great site I found. I was able to get two credit cards.
It's got cards for people with all types of credit. There are special
deals on platinum and gold cards to student and unsecured visas. I
found this link in another group and had to share all the deals.
Check them out.

I'm still waiting for them to play "Why do you have to put a date on
everything". Maybe one day ;)
i saw the chunk at cats cradle last night. it ws awesome. work
clothes opend and they were really good. they have the "shutting up"
sound. totaly mellow. next was crooked fingers, with the dude from
archers of loaf fronting. it was really cool. then finally chunk.
they were amazing. they played a lot of really good songs. some stuff
from pocky, a lot of unreleased stuff, a few from the new album, art
class was the best. the last three songs were intense, everyone in
the front was jumping and pushing and it was crazy. it was a great
show

They'll be at the SF Int' Film Festival playing to a silent film.
Festival tickets go on sale 3/27. I can't wait.
