- Where did all this happen Kathryn? Cause the few smaller gigs I attended
over here (Holland) were very relaxed, meaning that if you want to go stand
in the front, you go stand in the front. And I never stood in line for hours
as well....

My sincere apologies to any of you who may have been affronted by my vociferous
declaration.  I meant only to say that I have, more than once, stood in line
(really) for 5 hours (after hours and hours on planes to see the one and only
Supergrass) only to have some tallie wiggle their way up and try to mush me into
the rail.  Now, to be fair, I have had some shorties try to do the same, but my
face tends not to be in their armpit if I stand my ground.  And while I am not
opposed to armpits in general, they aren't the *main* thing I want to be faced
with at a Supergrass concert.  Not that it gets violent or anything...

Well, I did see a woman shorter than me punch a bloke almost twice her size in
San Diego.  THAT was a writhing, pogoing pit of humans if ever there was.

The good part about being on line very, very early, though, is that you (very
occasionally) get to say hello to the band.  Or, as in my case, they say hello
and you either blather like an idiot or fall silent in blank-brained awe...

Anyway, here's hoping that you see that I mean no harm.

After seeing the announcement for France, I checked out Ticketmaster
and they'll be in De Melkweg in Amsterdam Mon 7 Nov. Which of course
is a horrible weekday. Plus there are no trains going back to the
eastern part of Holland :(
Hope some of you can go though.

I have a news for the french supergrass fans : They will be on tour for
few dates in november. 18 November they will play a gig in Paris and
the day after they will be in Lille.

Nirvana in any way, but once that fell apart, that's when they
became such a huge monumental band.

Lovin Tales of Endurance the best so far, but havnt heard much,  not

I have just read the article by Pat Gilbert, Mojo - September 2005 re:
the the new album and the band, and I have for a long time thought the
same about supergrass's output, in 20-30 years time they will be
looked at as the true genius music makers of this era. And anyone who
loves em now are certainly in the know about what quality inovative
great music is.

I really like what I have heard live and on the web from R to R, its
not instant on first hearing but as you really listen, it grows on you
like all of the fine supergrass output does, which in my mind marks it
out as music I will listen to forever.
