Remember British composer Steve Hillman's electronica / space music??  Well, there's another side of this composer's world, where spirits have guided him, quite literally, to create full-blown orchestral spy jazz for an imaginary movie!

THE WORLD OVER is the result of Steve approaching me to create a score for one of my film projects.  Although we had already committed to another composer, Steve's demo tracks of his personal work, spy jazz, was astounding!  It deserved to be heard on its own, so we produced THE WORLD OVER on the Dreamfast Cinema label.  What really propelled the project, though, was what Steve described as being "guided from beyond" while composing these tracks!  

 

Steve got some great British musicians involved in the project, including world renowned Iain Ballamy on saxophones, Gareth Davies (principal flautist for the London Symphony) on flute and alto flute, Darrell Davison (Music Director of the Little Symphony of London, and former Cellist for the Royal Philharmonic) on cello, Phil Morgan (BBC Philharmonia) on Violin and Viola.  Hillman plays keyboards, drum and percussion, and renowned British composer Rain (Cerulean Blue) plays acoustic and electric bass and guitars. 

 

The production was recorded, mixed and mastered at TelosMusic, Guildford, England.
