American Politics as the Jerry Springer Show    These republicans are shameless, really. The people we saw on the screen; that grinning and sassy pole-dancing Sarah “would be Margret Thatcher when she is not being the small town American Barbie pit bull” Palin; George W. “The falling man” Bush on a “super size me” screen, hiding in the oval office with the excuse that New Orleans was being threatened by that Nazi storm Gustav; and that crowd of rigamortis we have watched all that week, are not the Republicans. The real Republicans are the CEO of Exxon-Mobil, Travelers Insurance, Bank of America, Bank of England, Lloyds, GM & GE etc. Those guys don’t smile, but they do own a whole slew of damn grinning fools who the rest of us damn grinning fools are told we identify with. We are, in America , a whole bunch of damn fools.   These representing republican conventioneers are all just actors. It is the Jerry Springer Show as American government. That’s right folks! Why do you think the democrats had such a long and arduous primary season? They are not actors, they are real people and real people are able and free to change their minds/adapt their thinking and actions to new evidence, and, sometimes unfortunately, argue all through the night. On the other hand the real republicans, Chaney, Bush Sr., the CIA, The Military, Boeing, do not give a damn that the world is no longer flat. They own flat and damned if they are going to give it up!   One of my republican convention favs was the continuous camera pans to those sole couple of African-Americans attending the “convention” that ABC insisted on showing us at every opportunity, and that there are, in fact, such things as "black" Republicans. See Condi fetch! At least these pans were a relief from those Soccer moms and their distorted over-milk-fed gawking Marine sons, who look retarded, and those poor Palin children who have become America newest soap.   And speaking of the Palins again, truthfully now my Caucasian brothers, do you think that “ America ,” would think that it was cute if Barack and Michelle’s 1st daughter to reach 17-years old became pregnant “out of wedlock”?   America would quietly whisper that it was proof that “those people” are a little loose in their morality. It is the fact of subconscious core racism that is the real challenge for us all?    Sarah’s right – “the only difference between a soccer mom and a pit bull is lipstick!” When you talk about four more years of the same thing, “pit bull” is a perfect symbol for America ’s image in the world today.
