I make a habit of checking The Casbah site about once and month and
BLAM! There you guys are March 17th! YAYAYAYAY!!!
AND, they have tickets on sale already. Me and my ever growing
entourage are ticketed up and ready to go! THANK YOU!!
Ok, back to planet earth.
Karen
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Hi Karen, thanks so much for your enthusiasm. It's
always a real blast for us to play there. Thank you so much for getting the word
out. As always, we'll be hanging out in Little Italy at The Princess Pub after
our soundcheck. (We're usually at the pub by 8:00). Come on by and share a pint
with us. :)
Ah thanks Tony for sharing that information on Morrissey's shirt size
and other details! Though it might sound strange to others, to me it
makes perfect sense! I too would totally frame the shirt way to go
Man! Hope to see you at future Hooligan shows!
I am so glad you guys are honored to take pictures with your Hooligan
fans! Honestly, I'd never tire of it. So long as you enjoy it...I'll
continue to ask for your picture! Hope to see you all soon! Oh and
yes....I noticed Morrissey too being more interactive than usual with
the audience! Very lovely of him. I'm happy for him. Adios!

What a fantastic time! Morrissey was, of course, phenomenal as always.
He looks great and was very engaging with the audience. I liked how he
stuck up for Julia on Saturday night. The highlight of the shows for me
was hands-down "Life is a Pigsty".
I want to thank all of you who came up to us before and after the shows
and said 'hello'. It's great to meet so many of you in person, shake
hands and even take pictures with you. I'm honored that you'd even ask.
Let's hope Morrissey comes back very soon. Details for our next shows
are coming soon.
Love and thanks,
Jose Maldonado
Sweet and Tender Hooligans
Hey, what's up Jose. I meet you on Thursday's show and I told you that
your band was like "coke" it gets you though morrissey's heroin like
addiction. I just wanted everybody know that I was one of the guys
trying to get MOZ's shirt( the last one he threw out, pink one) The
cops had to break us up and they cut the shirt up, but I got the best
part and just to let everybody know he's a 43/17 and the shirt is a
Gucci and it smeels like frankincense. It's going in a frame and up on
the wall. Thanks for everyone who gave up. See you all next time, even
if it's just for some coke.
hey 2 everyone. have an awsome new year!!!!!

Did anyone else go to see Moz in Pasadena? I went to see him on
Thursday and he was so spectacular! I especially loved when he
played "William, It Was Really Nothing" and of course, he rocked us
all out when he played "How Soon is Now?" I was in the balcony level
on the left side, wearing a black Morrissey shirt and a brown
cardigan. Let me know if you happened to run into me!

Slims Management,
Sweet and Tender Hooligans is the best thing you've brought to the bay
area in some time. The crowd was a jury-pool of San Francisco and
beyond. How could people from so many different times and places,
sing along with every song. Not to mention the smiles on all of our
faces.
Thanks for bringing us the Hooligans, and please bring them back soon!!!
Mr. Shankly
Looks like Indie will be giving away some tickets! Good luck kids!

Wouldn't miss it for the world. Not sure if Indie 103 or KROQ has that
show so depending on that, we'll see if Joe will have any tickets to
give away on his show.

Very excited that MOZZ is finally coming. My wife and I are going to the
Saturday show, does anybody know if their are going to be any after partys and
if so where they are going to be. Thanks, Adolfo

the pictures online and it looks very elegant. Any suggestions on the
attire to wear for the very special Morrissey Concert?
I expect you've heard the incredible news, Jose. Moz is coming to us
once again! He's playing three shows in Pasadena the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
of February. Are any of the Hooligans going? Do you know if Joe is
giving away tickets or anything on Indie 103.1? My family and I are
going, hope to see you guys there!

Hiya Jose :-)
Did you get your hands on some Morrissey tickets ??
Me and a few other ppl I know didn't get them. I can't believe 3
shows sold out in 3 min. I even called ticket master to c if they had
back to back seats, no luck. So Jose could **down on my knees** The
Sweet and Tender Hooligans do a show on any of those days for us that
was not able to get tickets ?? Seeing you guys is as good as seeing
Morrissey. Love you guys bunches **Muah**
Letty
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: That's very flattering but, no way JOSE. We're going to
be at those shows, so we wouldn't even be available.
What time do you think you'll take the stage at Slims on Saturday?
I have early evening obligations, but I've been waiting (years) to see
you guys. Sometime around 9:30?
Jeff
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: We are the headliner so it's safe to say that we will be
on after 9:30. Opening for us is a great tribute to The Cure called The CURsE.
Definitely worth checking out.
Sweet and Tender Hooligans will be in the Bay Area this weekend for 2
shows. Please tell everyone you know who may be interested in checking
out our tribute to Morrissey and The Smiths.

Joining us on both nights are our good friends The CURsE with their
always excellent tribute to The Cure.
Thank you all for the excellent show and the great song! We also
really enjoyed HANDSOME DEVIL. I'm surprised only 2 people jumped on
the stage. (?)
-Frankie D & Emily
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Thanks again Frank and Emily. God we love you so much.
Security at HOB really doesn't like the stage invaders. I'm actually surpised 2
people actually MADE it to the stage.
The show at the Casbah was great. That was was so much fun and the
music was amazing. I can't believe how long you guys played. Wow!
Thanks for a great show.
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: As usual, an enormously fun time for us. San Diego is
always a treat and special thanks to those who met us for drinks at The Princess
before the show.
Is it too late to request "A Rush and Push and the Land is Ours" for
the HOB show?????
And Jose, mil disculpas pero "Draize Train" in 2007, PLEASE?? I know,
I know....
Nos vemos el sabado :)
Two Nights, Two Shows! I'm so excited!
Another San Diego regular here, and I cannot WAIT to see you guys at
the Casbah! I'm also looking forward to seeing you guys Saturday up at
the HOB in Anahiem. I have to say, those Friday/Saturday shows are so
great. The drive is nothing and the experence is so diffrenet and both
places. I'm also bringing two new converts. My older sister is coming
to the Casbah show (she says she's more excited about it then
Christmas, heh) and her 12 year old daughter is coming with me to the
HOB show. A request from the 12 year old may follow, but I have a
feeling she's just going to be so excited to see you she will love
everything! And finally a question, any idea who is opening in San
Diego? Will it be The Cursed as well? Any chance of talking Adam & BG
into doing another gig? You guys made the perfect pair last time you
played togeather.
Much love,
Karen (big girl in front with Betty Bangs... for now)
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Thanks so much for your enthusiasm. Don't know who's
opening for us in San Diego. If you're able, please say hello before or after
one of the shows.
Hello Hooligans. Would you consider playing SPEEDWAY at the December
30 show? We haven't heard that song played live for awhile. Thanks.
-Frankie D & Emily
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Strong possibilty. We have young Patrick Stodel filling
in for Joe next week.
Thanks to all of you for your support this year. We look forward to
more shows and more fun in 2007. Happy Holidays from all The Sweet and
Tender Hooligans. Here are details for our last 2 shows of 2006.

My Hooligans! Can't wait to see you guys again. Can you please please
play stretch out and wait. There is no debate, no debate, no debate
how can you consciously contemplate when there's no debate, no debate
stretch out and wait. thanks!
exciting to see you guys back in san diego, small request you think
you guys can do the song 'Ganglord'? Thanks see on the 29th and we
will also be making the trip to the HOB Anaheim. Thanks again, Adolfo
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Can't wait to be coming back. The Casbah treats us
really great and we always have a fantastic night. I'll see if we can try to
work in your request next week at rehearsal.
Hi, I had just became a fan of the Hooligans when I got a job offer in
Holland and moved here with my family. I got to see you all only once
in Los Angeles, but it was excellent. I had submitted you a few of my
songs on CD but I guess they didn't pique your interest. Any chance of
you doing some more European shows? I know there is strong interested
here in the Smiths and you might consider a show in Amsterday or some
other large city such as Rotterdam. All the best, David Raymer.
(PS: If you have a chance, please check out some new stuff on
www.soundclick.com/silvertown. Thanks.)
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: Hi David, yes I remember talking to you before you left
for Holland and listening to a CD of songs you made. We would absolutely love to
do some more European cities and I'm certain the interest is there. It would
require a lot of planning and time off of our day jobs but I know it would be a
lot of fun and hopefully as well-received as we've been everywhere else we've
played.
Congratulations on the new job and I'll be sure to give the new stuff a listen.
I know it's quite late to be posting this, but the show was
incredible! It was my first time seeing you guys play, and you were
all amazing. For 2 minutes at the end there I about died thinking you
weren't going to play "There is a Light..." but then you did, thank
goodness. I will likely go see you all again on December 30th in
Anaheim. I'll make sure to be in the front.
P.S. Jose, you promised to respond to every comment you got about the
show. :)
JOSE MALDONADO REPLIES: And I always keep that promise! Thank you so much for
finding us and for checking us out. Glad you enjoyed the show. Write me anytime
