Three Rivers Community Band Festival

The ninth annual Three Rivers Community Band Festival will be held Saturday,
April 14, 2012, at the Upper St. Clair High School auditorium. The festival will
once again include a Festival Band comprised of community players from all over
the region.

We are excited to announce that James Gourlay will be this year's Festival Band
conductor. James is the new Musical Director of the River City Brass as well as
a tuba soloist. A native of Scotland, he has wide experience as both a performer
and conductor throughout the British Isles and Europe, including Director of
Music of the award winning Grimethorpe Colliery Band of England.

We invite community band players to register as soon as possible for the 2012
Festival Band. No audition is necessary. Visit http://www.ewsb.org/festival/ to
print your registration form. Further details about the festival band are
included with the registration form and on the festival website. If you need to

2012 Sousa National Community Band

July 13-15, 2012 in New Orleans

Organized by the John Philip Sousa Foundation, the Sousa National Community Band
is comprised of individual musicians from around the country who travel to a
given location to play a concert in the style of Sousa under the baton of Col.
John R. Bourgeois.
