Never thought you'd see the day when a choir would try to recruit in
your voice part? Weary of the earnest begging for tenors which seems
to be the endless refrain of community choir directors the world
over? Aha! Here's your chance to feel wanted!

Ecopella has branches in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains
and, truth to tell, we're looking for singers in any voice part, but
in particular we would warmly welcome any women - mezzos or higher -
who would like to ride the crest of a swelling environmental anthem,
or bubble merrily and satirically at the absurdities that depress our
beleaguered planet.

Our repertoire is scored, so reading skills are handy but not
essential. New members also receive a set of rehearsal CDs that
highlight their voice part. Whether you learn by ear or by eye you
will be well provided for!

We have a strong sense of community in our group, but we're
definitely not cliquey and we'd be very happy to welcome new people,
yeh, even tenors.. It's rather exciting also to be networked with
people in other cities, particularly when we all come together for a
major gig, or festival!
