so unless you have an election party to go to you might want to
consider coming to the Loaded Dog Folk Club at 79 Johnson St Annandale.
Triantan [rhymes with "me an' John"] are me, Judy Pinder and Anthony
Woollcott. Our name means 'triangle' in Gaelic but we're just good
friends. We don't sing too badly either - and we've got a
goodly number of hauntingly beautiful tunes from Ireland, Scotland
and Australia that we enjoy harmonising.
As folk singers, naturally we'll be very well prepared to suit the
mood of anyone who comes to our gig disappointed by the election
result. Some of the very best traditional songs are exquisitely
expressive of grief, and I for one expect to be thoroughly dispirited
no matter which party wins!
To be honest with you 'though our sets cover a wide emotional range,
and we even allow ourselves a laugh or two!
I hope you'll be able to make it - you won't be disappointed.
