Hello singers,
For anyone who enjoys singing and is concerned about the deepening
crisis that life on this planet is experiencing there is a healthy,
sociable, and fun alternative to merely worrying about it or hoping
it will go away. In the year of our 10th anniversary and of our 2nd
album Ecopella is ready to welcome you among us and include your
voice in our sound!
We have a particular reason for inviting you at this time. We have
just now changed the rehearsal nights of two of our branches, and
this may mean that some of you who previously had been unavailable
might find it easier to become involved now.
Our Sydney branch no longer rehearses on Monday nights and this opens
an opportunity for any Sydneysiders for whom Mondays had been
inconvenient. We now rehearse on Wednesday nights, still in
Erskineville, and would welcome new singers. Similarly, our
rehearsals in the Blue Mountains have shifted from Tuesdays to
Mondays [if you have friends in the mountains please feel free to forward!].
We are currently learning a very beautiful song written by one of our
Illawarra members about the disturbing changes threatening the
world's oceans. We are all enthusiastic and energetic now that our
director Miguel [that's me!] has returned from a three month overseas
trip. We are scheduled to help make a video clip next month, and also
look forward to gigging in Canberra with the newest of the choir's
four branches in the near future.
Please reply to this email for more details about joining, or to
purchase either of our very worthwhile CDs. You are also warmly
invited to discover our songs on-line at ecopella.org
Thanks for listening, I hope to see you soon!
Miguel
