Glory Bound Groove Train

[cid:image001.jpg@...]Glory Bound Groove Train was formed in 1997
under the musical directorship of performer/arranger Linda Calgaro. Performing a
repertoire of African-American gospel and gospel-inspired music, Glory Bound
Groove Train is a choir of 18 spirited voices, with an edge.

Since forming, Glory Bound Groove Train has performed almost continually,
appearing at the World Peace Forum at the Darling Harbour Convention Centre, the
Sydney Opera House, the Sydney Town Hall, in clubs and churches, and at
community events throughout Sydney. Other performance highlights include guest
appearances at concerts, parties, charity fund-raisers, weddings and other
services. Now in their 13th year, their membership and repertoire continues to
grow and develop.

The choir appeals to a range of audiences no matter their musical or religious
preference. They have received praise for the energy and joy of Glory Bound
Groove Train performances. Most important to them is the opportunity to share
their singing with people who love music with soul and heart.

Nothing Without Belinda

[cid:image002.jpg@...] Nothing Without Belinda is a mixed choir
currently based in Erskineville. NWB has been running for over 13 years and
sings stuff from around the world, from traditional choral works to contemporary
pop arrangements.

Conceived in a Wilson Street loungeroom, NWB still inhabits the inner city but
draws its members from near and far. They have always placed an emphasis on
having fun as much as sounding good; and as they've developed they have chosen
the songs they sing with the aim of making a statement about life, love and
liberation.

NWB released a CD, Waterloo Tuesdays, in 2004 and over the years have performed
at a wide range of events and venues - from weddings to festivals, from Reverse
Garbage to the Manly Ferry to the Sydney Opera House.

Recently NWB has been developing a multimedia collaboration based on several
Bulgarian folk songs. There is no truth to the rumour that their name may
change to Nothing Without Bulgaria
