hey !
that happened to me twice with moded atari junior units !
my mods were straight from the TIA chip i guess... all that I had after the live
situation (were the atari wasnt able to pass even the sound test) was a low hum
.
I got good results with a dark vader (black) 4 switches model. The mod was made
by a tv and audio service guy who sold me the already moded atari (still
working) but I sold it some time ago to a friend.
i hope some of this can help.
best regards. Ignacio.

Hi!
My mixer killed my Atari 2600 Jr´s audio. I had it hooked up to a Behringer
MX602A mixer. When the audio cable first touched the mixer the video started to
glicth out and then I got a low endless note and a while after that the audio
stopped working at all. :( My audio output mod was connected to one of the
resistors on the pcb. Is my atari 2600 jr a goner? Is there anyway to prevent
this from happening in the future? I was gonna use it on a show in a couple of
hours but that doesnt seem to happen now. Sucks big time.
