I have vaz too. My idea should work on that... here is an email I
sent another user....

Im working on this program called scala(
http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/scala/) which lets do a
couple things...
It lets you define custom tuning tables
Send them via sysex to midi synths
retunes midi files to be a in a certain scale
I am going to set a tuning scale that is comaptible
with with the atari weird tuning scheme. This has a
bunch of cool applications
Help musicians trying to use the synthcart in a band
situation
Help game composers work on ideas in a more musical
format prior to coding in binary
Converting exisitng midi songs to atari comatible
scheme for conversions and hacks
setup a scheme for someone with the knowhow to create
a utililty to convert midi to dasm compatible code
I dont have my synthcart handy But I think my math is
sound. I need end users who have these synths to
compare the tuning tables I send them against the
various insturments on the synthcart program. Im in
the middle of moving to nyc until like mid august and
i don't want to wait until then to work on this. I can
crunch away on my laptop now. So I guess the only
thing require of you would be to read your synth's
manual and figured out how it loads tuning tables (by
sysex or wahtever) and i will try to deliver to you a
working table that hopefully works.

Vaz uses .tun files which are basically the same as scala .scl files.
I want users who can a/b my math against their tunable devices
against my tuning tables. Let me know your favorite sound on
synthcart and I will work on that first.
