Hello taborers
I have uploaded a short video (five minutes) about a National Gathering
of Taborers from the west of Spain. There were "tamborileros" from
several traditions: Zamora, Salamanca, Extremadura and Huelva
(Andalusia). The event was last saturday in Aceituna, a little village
in the North of Extremadura, and we hope to repeat it in the future.
Was a beautiful day, and after the performance on stage, we played in
the streets of the village. We were about forty or fifty taborers in
the meeting.
As a curiosity, the last musician of the video (Manuel from Hurdes, in
the North of Extremadura) is playing pipe and tabor ...and smoking!
