Returned from the Festa Del Flabiols in Arbucies.

Excellent festival as ever. It was good to catch up with old friends
and to make new acquaintances.

The Saturday night concert was most entertaining, with Oscar Duarte
dancing and playing at the same time.

The workshop was fun and there was a good crowd for the flabiols and
gegants in the Placa.

The ensemble playing is getting more interesting every year. The
Flabiol group arrangements are more ambitious and the mixed groups
more diverse. I really enjoyed the Gormandelles (?) with flabiol,
sac de gemecs, accordion, guitarro and giant castanets.

Flabiol and sac de gemecs (Bagpipes) is becoming a strong theme.

Somehow I managed to come away this year without buying any new
instruments, although it was tempting, especially the pipes from Extramadura.
