Hello,
This seems to be a delimma for many people, especially students who get
involved in taiko groups at
schools and community organizations. I would suggest checking the U.S. Japan
Sister cities site for
affiliates in the area you aremoving to. Most major U.S. cities have a sister
city now. Those organizations
usually have lists or contacts for cultural groups, like taiko, karate,
ikebana, ryori, those kinds of things.

There must be a group in the a rea you are going to. Also check with the
area's University. I don't know immediately where Spring Hill is located in
the Tampa area, but if it is near a college which has a large music program,
especially one with an ethnic music interest, or marching program, they
probably have a performance group for taiko.

I hope you can find a group to continue taiko performance with. And my best
wishes to you and your family.
