Many years ago I became enchanted by the sound of the Tenor Guitar. You can play things on the Tenor Guitar that you simply can't play on any other instrument. I started to search the web for information about the Tenor Guitar and found very little! That's when I decided to start the TENOR GUITAR REGISTRY. I hope it will become a way for Tenor Guitar enthusiasts to exchange info and stories and songs.
April 1,2001 five members of The Tenor Guitar Registry launched a wonderful website that answers a lot of questions about the Tenor Guitar. It has tunings...chords...songs...and more! Please take a moment to visit http://www.tenorguitar.com
Would you like to know where other tenor guitar players are in your area? BECOME PART OF THE TENOR GUITAR REGISTRY !!!
Go to DATABASE then CONTACT LIST then ADD RECORD. Then you can search by state and see a list of all of the tenor guitar players who live in your state. This data base is only good if you take the time to enter your contact info. Currently there are almost 1000 members of this club and under 200 in our Data Base.....which is, for all practical purposes, our "Registry" . So I would strongly encourage you, if you haven't taken the time to do so, to let us all know where you are!
It's your guitar. You make the rules. If someone tells you it isn't a tenor, so what? Play what you like how you like it. We are a very open minded group
