Before you post your lyrics on public boards like this, make sure
that they are protected by the copyright law. You can get some 411 at
http://lcweb.loc.gov/copyright/

The easiest (and the least expensive) way to protect your lyrics is
as follows:

(1) Type your lyrics on a sheet of paper
(2) Put it in an envelope
(3) Mail it to yourself (by registered mail)
(4) Keep the mail. Don't open it!

This proves that the lyrics existed before the date on the postmark.

Also, you should know a little bit about music publishing, because
music publishers normally handle lyrics.
