Coming up on Friday 26th June  The monthly 'Woodie' Gang Meet Up this month it is the turn of the Tattershall Castle'  former cruiser  now a floating pub moored up on the north bank of the Thames' near Cleopatra’s Needle, nearest tube Embankment' or if you coming in by train from the South East Charing Cross Railway Station turn direct right out of main entrance down the steps turn right again in to Villiers Street, past the old BBC Players Theatre where so many of Auntie Beeb' Historical Radio Shows were performed,   The Goon Show with Spike Milligan, Peter Sellers, Life With The Lyons with Bebe Daniels & Ben Lyon; remember that? 

 

Few yards further along on the left hand side, glance up where a blue plaque denotes that this late regency building was once the home of Rudyard Kipling, through the tube station out the other side. look across to the River to your right you will see the retired vessel 'Tattershall Castle' swaying gracefully in the early evening sunlight, That’s where you will find the Woodies  - never been to a Woodie meet up? Have hesitated you may have only met us once or twice, perhaps at a Party or a Gig,  not to worry, friendly bunch you will soon find yourself at home.
