*** SPECIAL
EVENT AT THE BRITISH LIBRARY ***
Friday 30th October 2pm Woodie Nigel Bewley of the British Library Sound Archive
has invited Tales From The Woods to a unique event
which I am sure, would interest many of you. It is a talk given by Nigel
entitled 'Fakes and Forgeries' spanning around 1½ hours.
The discussion takes a glance at the authenticity of recordings from a
diversity of sources including Queen Victoria, Oscar Wilde, Aleister Crowley,
Winston Churchill
plus many others. Can a bird really sound like a building site?
The British Library is located near Kings Cross/St Pancras/Euston railway/tube
stations and so is easily reachable by train, tube or bus.
Do come along and join us in what promises to be a fantastically interesting
afternoon. It's free, but we do need to have names of attendees.
All Woodies and their guests are welcome.
Please note that this is an invitation-only
event for Tales From The Woods subscribers and their guests so please contact
us to get your name on the list.
