Eddie Phillips is one of the most underrated British guitarists of all time. The group he made his reputation with is the Creation and they are perhaps the most misunderstood British band of the 60's. They were often lumped in with lesser bands and mistakenly labelled a Who clone by legions of deaf dumb and blind.
Apart from being a stellar guitarist, Eddie is also a great songwriter and singer. Successful covers of his songs include Painter Man by Boney M and Teacher Teacher by Rockpile. The Creation's 1966 recording of Making Time was finally heard in American movie theatres and on American T. V. as part of the Rushmore movie soundtrack.
Eddie is still writing, recording and playing live with the reformed Creation (which includes original member Bob Garner). The Creation have been touring the U. K., the U. S. and parts of Europe.
