Hello there then! Hope that this finds you well. We are so very glad to be home,
glad to be back in our beds, glad to be back to our cats and kinda in a sick
sadistic way, glad to be back to this oh so unpredictable weather. Hmm.

Welcome to those of you who are receiving an email from us for the first time.
There were a whole stack of people we met on our travels who left their email
addresses with us.

Someone sent me an email through the week asking why it is that I am the only
one that actually sends email to this list...(after I passed on the show review
from Sarah last week). Well, this list kinda started off as a 'let you know what
is happening' kinda list but, it you want to post a review, a note, a question,
a anything really, then feel free.

This Saturday night sees our last show for 1998 - at our favourite venue -
Mojo's in Fremantle. We are really looking forward to playing 'the hometown
crowd' again - missed you guys sooo much!
John Butler is opening the night for us - doors open at 7.30pm for those of you
who want to get a table. Otherwise John will be on stage around 8.45 and we will
be up around 10pm. Entry is $10/$8.

Other than that we are already busily planning our next tours over East. We came
home to an incredible email from an overseas artist who has asked us to tour
nationally with her in Jan (more later when it is all confirmed) and we are
starting our next tour in Adelaide on the 19th Feb. (Heading to Melb,Syd &
Canberra after that date). January 8th we start in Albany (WA) and work our way
back to Perth for a 11 day tour. What a HUGE year it is turning out to be. So
exciting to see it start taking shape.

Thank you so much to those of you who called friends, sent us encouraging emails
and generally thought postive thoughts for us on this tour. We met some awesome
people, some shit head publicans and some fantastic musos that we had the
privilege of broadening 'the tribe' with. A lot of our publicity, reviews etc
from the tour will be up on the NEW web site www.velvetjanes.com.au in the next
week, complete with some photos (can you believe we kept forgetting to take
photos). One afternoon in Melb we were particularily disappointed by that fact,
when we had a 'power pussy' lunch with our mates from Bluehouse and Donna from
the Waifs - it would have been a great thing to document. The women of..rock?
Hmm.

Oh yes, another thing that will be happening in the next month is T SHIRTS !!!!
Yehhaaaa..at last we feel like a real band. (Now, I am joking there!)We are
busily trying to come up with a design etc and should have something ready by
the time of our next tour over East.
