Hello oh fine people of the email variety. Yes indeedy, we have returned
home from our Down South / Ani DiFranco Tour extraganza..somewhat sleep
deprived and delirious..but WOW, what a month!! Friendships were made,
many a late night jam session took place, inspiration was 'got' and all in
all we will be remembering it all for a long time!!

So, on that point, if you are receiving this email for the first time,
then welcome! We added around 100 new names to the email list from these
tours and we are glad to have you! Come in and make yourself right at home.

We are home for the next three weeks (to pat the cats, water the veggies,
pay those annoying house bills and spend time with those we call 'friends'
and rolling around gleefully in our own beds!!) But..escpecially for those
Perth folks reading, we will also be doing a show while we are here. In the
last email we talked about the 'Love the One Your With' concert to be held
at the Fly By Night club..that is now confirmed and will happen on Sat 13th
Feb at the said club. Doors open at 7.30pm, tickets are available at the door,
and there will be other artists on the bill also (we will let you know as soon
as we know!!). We have been trying to think 'romantic' for this show..but
I'm not sure that it is working!!

After that we head off over East for another round of Melb/Adel/Syd. At this
stage the dates and confirmed venues for each State are as follows:

Adelaide
Sun 21st Feb - Crown & Anchor
Mon 22nd Feb - Uni of SA - lunchtime (Underdale Campus)
Tues 23rd Feb - Uni of SA - lunchtime (Magill)
Wed 24th Feb - Uni of SA - lunchtime (Levels)
Wed 24th Feb - Crown & Sceptre Hotel (PM)
Thurs 25th Feb - Rhino Room

Melbourne is not all confirmed yet but we do know we get there on Friday
26th Feb and are sharing two shows with Monique Brumby at the Truffula
Tree (Fr 26/Sat 27). When we know the other dates/venues we will let you know.

Sydney goes like this:
Wed 3rd March - Harbour Brasserie 'Eve' - Women in Music
Fri 5th March - Snake Pit (oh my gawd)
Sat 6th March - Cat & Fiddle
Sun 7th March - Gypsy Bar (Canberra)

99 is looking to be a huge year for us here in Velvet Janes Land.We
are planning a live cd to be recorded in Perth in April/May, pursuing
a US tour with Ms Ani, contemplating a tour of Alaska (!), busily
desiging the new range of VJ tshirts, stickers, fridge magnets (velvet
vibrator covers & koala t-spoons, if Rose gets her way!!), have been
confirmed for the Fairbridge Folk Festival and I personally am patiently
waiting for my capsicums to reach full maturity.

So..there is our existence for the meantime. Hope that this finds you

little girls with their guitars and dreams..hope it's as much fun
for you!!
