Greetings from the 'not yet over saturday night' girlies of the Velvet Janes
variety. Thank you so much to those of you who attended the 'event', what a
blast it was. (I can't wait to see the vid to see if I was actually really
there!)

We have been doing the kissing babies, shaking hand bullshit over the past three
days with our good old friends at the commercial stations in Perth and lo and
behold, after a back and forwards war as to who was going to play what song
first, PMFM and 96.FM have told us that as of Monday 21st June, that 'Wrapped
Up' will be placed on high rotation across the board. YEEHAAAAA... What that
means is that they will play it alot and not just at 3am in the morning when
only milkmen and politicians are up, but all day and all night. Wow. We can't
quite believe this yet. That kinda means that if it 'sticks' here in Perth that
stations around Australia will follow suit and pick it up too. (All the while
going 'baahhh' in unison) Wow, even as I am typing this it seems amazing. To
think that they are picking up little ole independant us (I wonder if they took
me serious when I said I'd buy them a new fridge?!?!) So, we ask that you ring
them, you fax them, you email them, you turn up on their front steps in army
greens and demand they keep playing it and the other songs on the album (I am
fast running out of voices to use on the phone!!!).

Yeehaa...what a time it is!

On the newsletter that was just sent out I kinda made two booboos....one is that
I said the footy show this Sunday is on Channel 10 - it's not, it's Channel 7,
(oops) (and it IS this Sunday!) and the other is that the venues for the July
shows are around the wrong way. They should read like this:

Saturday 3rd July - Rock Garden Cafe (Doors Open 6pm for dinner)
Sunday 4th July - Mojos (early show - ie doors open 6 show finishes by 10/11)

The candlelight show, which is our last show in Perth until Sept/Oct is on July
17th. We decided we would do a 'request fest' for this show - so, for those of
you that are coming...send us your requests and we will play them!! (Of course
we would prefer it if they were our songs!!)For tickets, contact Marisa at :

Oh...SYDNEY FOLKS..LOOK HERE....the Cat & Fiddle has pulled the pin on the
launch because they are renovating so we are busily trying to find a new venue,
we have the choice between the Three Weeds or the Landsdowne at the moment...any
suggestions as to which one would suit us better would be greatly
appreciated..asap as we have to book it or lose it!! Many thanks
