Hello again wonderous Velvet Janes mailing list persons. This comes
from the weary, hay fever drug induced haze of The Velvet Janes
mailing list fairies. (fairy, should I say...)

It is at last summer in San Francisco and I feel like I can stop
pinning just for a moment for the Australian heat. These Californians
are hilarious when it comes to hot weather...what am I talking about,
HOT? Midly warm weather induces an airconditioning panic that I have
never seen before! It makes me laugh alot!

In Velvet Janes news, we are busily putting together our next US
tour, which will start in Michigan on August 11th and head to
Chicago, Milwaukee, Madison, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and
Santa Cruz. We will have venues up any moment now and are very
excited about our induction into the Womens Music Festival phenomenon!
It's amazing what one sees at those events..gotta love it.

Our next Australian tour will be focused on Perth and will start on
November 31st. We will be heading, along with our band, to Bunbury,
Dunsborough, Pt Hedland, Broome, Karratha and of course Perth itself!
Hopefully the actual dates and venues will be finalised soon..and
there is a possibility that we will be doing Woodforde Folk Festival
this year too... oh joy, mud..mud..mud (is what comes to mind when I
think of Woodforde!)

There will also be some solo shows in the pipeline. Mardi is doing
solo shows in Adelaide on the 23/24th November (venues tba..of
course) and Rose is possibly doing some sometime soon...hmm...nice
and vague really isn't it? We will let you know as we go..because of
course, we are making it up as we go along..

In website news, the new superdooper Martine Locke web site is up and
running - www.martinelocke.com - complete with specky flash intros
and things to amaze your eyeballs. Please check it out and see if you
can find any bugs..well, don't look too hard..we are building it as
we go and as we change our minds! The new superdooper Velvet Janes
web site will hopefully be up and running by the end of July... just
in time for all of our fun tours.
