Alex North was born in Chester, Pennsylvania, December 10th 1910 and died September 8th 1991 He was known as a innovator.

He has done film scores such as Spartacus and Cleopatra.

He was the first composer to make use of jazz in his film scores. He uses a mix of jazz and modernism in his scores.

He also wrote for a film the famious song called Unchained Melody.

He is probably the most complex and original film composer ever.
