If you can find it, the SVC label is the best in terms of sound quality, but
even here, several cues from this extended score were derived from mono sources
and from magnetic tape. My understanding is that a complete stereo master no
longer exists from this great score by North. Nevertheless, the SVC version is
decent and certainly provides more music than the original Decca/MCA release. I
found my copy on ebay, and it does pop up there often. I have no idea how to
purchased it from a direct distributor. Perhaps someone in this club can
advise. There is a 3 cd version floating around, and it contains a little more
music than the SVC release, but, again, a great deal in mono. A good friend of
mine, and member, provided this for me, but I have no idea how or where he got
it The latter edition is most difficult to find, but I have seen it offered on
ebay as well, only not as often as the SVC version. Good luck.
