I was playing around with my CD collection and
with my little brother's Disney movies, and I came
across quite an interesting movie synch. It involves
pairing Laurie Anderson's 1984 album "Mr. Heartbreak"
with the Disney classic "Snow White & The Seven
Dwarves." To set it up, fast forward Snow White to the
point after the storybook that introduces the story
fades to black. If you have a CD player that has a
visible second counter, set "Mr. Heartbreak" to :03
seconds. Play the movie, and as the castle starts to fade
into view, press play on the cd player. You'll know
you got it right if the Queen seems to say "It's
Sharkey's Day, Sharkey's day today." and also if she seems
to say the "dreams" part of "If only I could
remember these dreams!" The best way to know for -sure-
that you got it right is if Snow White, while standing
at the wishing well, cocks her head and seems to
listen intently when Laurie Anderson says
"Listen!"<br><br>Several -great- coincidences occur during the first
track. Tracks 2-4 correspond thematically with Snow
White, but the timing and vocals of track five almost
seem to be made for the movie... 6 is okay, and Seven,
the last track, yields some very interesting results.
If anyone wants, I'll post more details on the
synchronicities... (I've heard of in-depth descriptions referred to
as spoilers, so I'll hold my tongue for
now)<br><br>roboterclomp@...
