LAURA BUSH Dissing P.DIDDY?
According to SOHH.com, it is rumored that First Lady Laura Bush refused to share
the stage with P. Diddy at the opening for Cincinnati's National Underground
Railroad Freedom Center. Diddy was set to be featured in the museum's Dedication
Concert. Rumors say that Diddy had planned to take a photo with Bush, but was
denied.
After hearing of Bush's concerns, Diddy decided to cancel his appearance.


Blink boys stay a bit longer

VISITING pop-punksters Blink-182 are likely to be pretty exhausted at the end of
their Australian tour, which ends with four consecutive shows in Sydney.

Nonetheless the band has decided to extend its stay in Sydney beyond a four-date
run at the Hordern Pavilion - beginning tonight and ending on Thursday - to
shoot a music video for their next single.
But a rumour the Californian trio wanted former underworld figure Mark "Chopper"
Read to star in the clip for Always was false, Blink's Mark Hoppus told
Confidential.
However, the group is keen on hooking up with the hitman and author - who gained
international fame after he was played by Eric Bana in the film Chopper - during
their stay, Hoppus said.
One of the band's touring party is interested in interviewing Chopper for an
unspecified project involving Blink drummer Travis Barker.
"It's for a project Travis is associated with," Hoppus said, adding he was
unsure of what the project would entail.
"But I know Travis has seen it (Chopper) a bunch of times."
Hoppus wouldn't be drawn on the planned content of their clip, but the band will
begin filming the video on Friday at an undisclosed location.
"I can't really give you too many details on it at the moment, but I think we'll
be filming it at a studio," Hoppus said.
The band has returned to Australia after being forced to cut short a tour in
March after Barker broke his foot in Melbourne.

On Thursday (Sept. 2) a Chicago judge ordered that Twista’s wife, Rashida
Mitchell be restrained from talking to the press about her divorce with the
rapper.

The order comes after an article that was printed in The Chicago Sun Times
accused the rapper of neglecting his daughter.

The article was published last week and referred to Twista’s success as a
rapper. It also revealed his daughters name, age, school district and
photograph.

Twista married Mitchell in 1991 and three years later the couple had a little
girl. They have been separated since 1996 and the divorce proceedings started in
1999.

“He would come in court with phony check stubs showing that he made about $2,000
a month,” Mitchell said. “The court ordered Twista to pay me $100 a week in
1999. Right now he is two months behind.”

Twista has other children besides the one he has with Mitchell, but none of the
mothers have come forward to complain.

Mitchell said her daughter was unhappy.

"Her father is Twista although he has not given her the life that she deserves,"
Mitchell said. These comments moved Twista’s Chicago attorney Jeffery M. Leving,
to file an emergency petition for a restraining order.

"It is a sad state of affairs when a Judge has to order a mother not to speak to
her child about the father in a negative manner,” Leving said.

The granting of the restraining order also establishes that the rapper is
current with his child support.

"Twista is a loving father and his daughter means the world to him,” Leving
said.

Former MTV VJ Ananda Lewis will be a correspondent for a new syndicated
half-hour newsmagazine The Insider, premiering September 13th.

C-Murder) will drop the album The Truth on November 23rd.

*The Geto Boys have wrapped an untitled album that will drop by the end of 2004.
The Geto Boys featured a changing line-up throughout their career and started
the solo career of critically acclaimed rapper Scarface. The Geto Boys formed in
1989 and became one of the first Southern hip-hop groups to find commercial
success.

*Sadat X (of Brand Nubian) is recording his solo debut which will be released by
Madd Records.The album is currently untitled and is set to be released in
October.

*Lady Saw will release a new album, "Strip Tease," on September 14th . The album
features production from Sly & Robbie's Sly Dunbar, Dave Kelly, Black Shadow's
Troyton, Tony Matterhorn and Don "Vendetta" Bennett.

Elephant Man will be among 15 performers at the eighth annual World Creole Music
Festival in Dominica next month. The festival is one of the largest Creole music
celebrations in the Caribbean. Other bands and performers lined up for the
October 29th - 31st festival include Magnum, Dominik Coco, Sweet Mickey, Canela
and Escale.
