'Doc' ' Some gave All' episode Also nominated by movie guide for Grace
prize and the epiphany prize

Cyrus' 'Doc' still leads the pack on pax-tv
and beats or ties NBC, ABC, upn and WB in many markets
Los Angeles, CA-It has been announced by the Tenth Annual Movie Guide
Awards Gala and Report to the Entertainment Industry, that Billy Ray
Cyrus will be the recipient of the Faith&Freedom Award for "Doc" as
"2001 Best Television Series/ Pax-Tv." Since Cyrus will be in Toronto
on the set of "Doc" and not able to attend the Movie Guide Awards Gala
on March 20, his acceptance speech will be transmitted to the event
via satellite or video tape.
Billy Ray Cyrus has also been nominated for Movie Guide Awards'
prestigious Grace Prize for his moving perfomance in the critically
acclaimed "Some Gave All episode of Doc," that aired last Veterans
Day. Additionally, "Doc: Some Gave All" has been nominated for the
Epiphany Prize. The "the some Gave All" episode was based on the hit
song Cyrus wrote after a chance meeting with a Vietnam veteran. This
year's Movie Guide Gala will be held at the Ahmanson Hall at the
Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles , On Wednesday, March 20,2002.
Accolades and awards aside, Doc" continues to be Pax-tv's little show
that could. Last Sunday (March3) Doc topped the powerhouse NBC network
and was #1 in the ratings in Raleigh-Durham, Greensboro and Kansas
City. "Doc" tied NBC in Buffalo and Louisville and barely trailed in
several markets. As per usual, "Doc" topped WB and UPN in more than
half the cities across the nation. The previous two Sundays "DOC" even
lead the WB network nationally across the board.
PS-Actually we had thought the surprise would include Billy Ray's
appearance at the awards show, but unfortunately, his shooting
schedule for "DO" conflicts with the show. He has been invited to be
the host of the show. This came from the fan club
