Hi folks,
I don't post a lot but I wanted to share some news.
The Rusty Wright Band has been accepted by The Armed Forces Entertainment
Network to entertain the troops overseas! We are very proud to be accepted,
especially since the screening process is rather involved. We have not been
given a tour schedule yet but expect it to be 2-3 weeks long.

The whole thing came about as a result of the requests our new CD "Playin' with
Fire" was receiving from servicemen overseas. Many of the guys on duty were
downloading various podcasts and heard our stuff and began emailing the DJs
asking about it. The podcasters began emailing us telling us about the hundreds
of requests they had gotten and we thought, WOW! We should go play for them!

Steve Simon who produces the Bluzapalooza tours pointed us in the right
direction while we were playing his other festival, the St. John Bluesfest in
the Virgin Islands.

The whole band is geeked about doing a tour.
We all have opinions about the current situation in the world but I feel it's a
privilege and an honor to spread a little musical love to the folks who are far
from home doing their duty.

Can't wait to go throw down some heat for all those Jarheads, Dog Faces and
Leathernecks!
