Hi my name is Lyle from England (Bobby's mother's birthplace) hence
beyond the sea. I'm a huge Bobby Darin fan and would like to hear
from like minded people.I am a club singer myself in the north east
of England (the most beautiful region Northumbria (land of castles)
of the most beautiful country on earth)and owe a debt to this master
whose timing, phrasing, clarity of diction, and most importantly
feeling for a song and indeed sometimes flipancy showed what great
singing was all about.Having seen clips and heard songs from Kevin
Spacey's new film Beyond The Sea & although pleasently surprised at
it's contents and pleased with Spacey's vocal interpretations I have
to say and not suprisingly so, he is close but no cigar.Their are
many good singers who try to imitate the great man but like the Holy
Grail get close but fail in their attempts to aquire the chalice.
Lets' just accept Bobby's greatness & rue the fact that Spacey"s ego
has got the better of him and robbed us of the great man's voice in
this film.
