For sometime now, I've had people asking me to expand on the tag board on
terrafirma, and
offer something more like a forum. Not wanting to grab any old forum and tacking
it on to
the site half-assed, I've waited until I could implement one properly.

The wait is over.

The new the brilliant green | terrafirma forum is genuinely a part of the entire
site. Full
accounts with avatars and account pictures, search, bbcode, bookmarking,
smileys, ability to
link pictures, etc. are all there.

This of course is not meant to replace this yahoo group, but complement it. (it
is, however,
replacing the tag board. any suggestions for something to take it's place on the
community
page are welcome).

So please drop by, sign up, and start yakking away ;)

what do you mean by electric tabs?

do you mean the lead part (as opposed to rhythm?)
In which case, a few of the song's I've included the lead part, (like
the solo in Rock'n'Roll) - but for the most part I haven't included
them simply because they take a LONG time to write, and there isn't
much demand (in fact, you're the first!). Most of minor lead licks
that Ryo plays during verses is noodling over the chord progression,
in which case if you have a basic knowledge of soloing, you can do
your own thing (in fact, i'd recommend that). But if there's any
major lead lines you'd like to know, let me know which songs and I'll
put them on my to-do list.

as for any other sites with tbg tabs. I'm afraid you're stuck with
me! :P

I was checking my cable OnDemand system (Comcast, NJ area) and in the
Anime Network menu, under Bento Beat Box (their music video section)
was the brilliant green video for Rainy Days Never Stays. :)

Check it out if you have OnDemand and Anime Network on your cable

Just wanted to say I'm glad to see more action on this forum!

I got my TH6 DVD/Cd plus the TH6 Ready? single and TF6's yume-miru-
lovely boy a couple of days ago.  I'm totally loving the album!

I like the sound of the album as a whole, so will wait a bit before
giving more specific opinions, but going along with what seems to be
the general consensus, I think LCDD is a stand-out track.

I'm pretty sure this is brand-new News~ Tommy february6 will be featured on
the opening theme for the new Paradise Kiss anime (Paradise Kiss is by Ai
Yazawa, whom also created other hits such as NANA and Gojinko Monogatari).

The song is called ¢¾Lonely in Gorgeous¢¾ -- With Tommy's contribution on
the "Love for NANA" album, I'm wondering if Yazawa-san is a Tommy fan? (Or
Visa Versa ^^;;)

I'm a huge Parasise Kiss fan, so I have to agree that Tommy's an excellent
choice to go with the feel of the series. I actually was producing a
Paradise Kiss radio play awhile back that fell through, and I was planning
on using a lot of Tommy's music in it!

there is no doubt dat this album is certainly diff from the stuff
from tbg.. darker n edgier its quite a breath of fresh air.. but
whether its ultimately for the beta or worse i'll leave it to you to
decide.. but keep in mind we cannot simply compare TBG with Th6..
they are after all two diff styles and personas..
personally i was a lil disappointed with the album at the first
listen.. after months of anticipation to get the limited edition of
it, i was left a lil unsatisfied by the final product.. dun get mi
wrong cos i loved all if her 4 singles released prior to tis.. but it
was the new stuff featured dat seemed lacklustre.. but dat said, the
album did grow on me.. and im glad to say im quite addicted to it
now.. ha.. so heres a short low-down on the tracks..

1)2Bfree - starts with a veri heavy grunge feel.. then its chorus
explodes into quite an energetic one.. digged the claps in the
background.. 6/10

2)Ready? - her latest single release.. loved it.. catchy n exciting..
glad it was short n sweet.. any longer and it'll get draggy.. 8/10

3)Wait till I can dream - her first single released under her new
moniker.. similar feel to dat of Ready?.. so 'nuff said.. 8/10

4)fell in love with you - a slower track.. but with an explosive
chorus again.. frankly i didnt quite like tis at first.. a lil too
repetitive for my liking.. but the chorus was its redeeming factor ..
6/10

5)wana be your idol - a lil dull and cliched sounding.. the onli
thing dat made me sit up n take notice of tis track was the part
after the second chorus.. when the tune changes to something more
catchy.. but overall a let down.. 5/10

6)+gothic Pink+ -  the darkest track in the whole album.. reminds me
of stuff from the Smashing Pumpkins.. 6/10

7)Swear - not much of an impression of tis track.. although guitar
work here was pretty good i muz add.. 6/10

8)lost my pieces - a slow and depressing starter.. but the chorus was
fantastic.. loved the tune and background vocals in the chorus.. a
good juxtaposition between the verses and chorus.. 8/10

9)GIMME ALL OF YOUR LOVE !! - a veri fast paced track.. couldnt get
tis song outta mi head after the first time i heard it.. superb
stuff.. well except for the constant repetitions of the title near
the end of the song.. holds the listener in anticipation for too
long.. felt a lil anal retentive.. haha.. but overall still one of mi
fav tracks.. 9/10

10)LCDD - tis one realli got mi up on my feet.. electrifying and oh
so happy sounding.. feel good rock neva sounded so good.. when it got
to the chorus i was totalli stunned by the brilliance of tis track..
its the epitome of catchiness.. plus fantastic vocals from Tomoko.. a
perfect remedy for all those who are suffering from TBG withdrawal..
mi all time fav Th6 track.. period.. 11/10.. haha!

11)Hey my friend - tis used to be mi fav track outta her 4 singles..
more laid back sounding.. realli reminded me of TBG.. the part dat
realli made me melt was near the veri end.. when she juz hummed in a
trully ethereal voice.. the 10+ seconds of dat was enuff to make tis
track worth listening.. haha.. but dats juz me eh.. 10/10

As a whole i rate tis album a 7.5/10 and would recommend it to all
TBG fans.. esp those who are more into the grunge or hard rock
stuff.. i wasnt one of those.. but i still enjoyed it thoroughly..
although i felt dat perhaps Tommy was trying too hard to potray her
new persona.. dat it felt so manufactured and lacked originality at
times.. tis is especially seen in the videos dat came together with
the limited edition.. i sorta felt bad dat Tommy had to go thru dat
transformation.. shes not getting any younger and her producers made
a wrong choice to follow the image of the teeny booper Avril for her
case.. it just doesnt click.. i hope it aint stifling the style outta
her..
nonetheless i still remain a die hard TBG fan to the end.. and wadeva
Tommy Heavenly6 churns out i'll still strive to get mi hands on it..
after all it was Tomoko's sweet vocals dat got me hooked to TBG in
the first place.. not to mention their knack for making hit after hit
of kick ass music.. im crossing my fingers dat a new TBG album will
be out soon.. the waits been too freakin long!

well dats all for now.. its certainly more than a mouthful.. haha.. i
apologize if my views differ from any of yours.. do feel free to
share more comments bout the album here too yeah!

i agree with you, it did lack a hook. Sometimes i find if i'm
listening to the album my concentration shifts away from it without
my noticing and it just becomes part of the background. I also agree
with you about ryo, have you heard his solo album? i'd really
recommend it.

i do agree that the album fell a bit flat for me.

the guitar pop music a la avril formula just didnt work for me, because they
really couldnt
deliver the necessary hooks. the whole point of music like that is for there to
be immediate
catchiness, rather than having to challenge the listener to listen a few
times... i feel that the
songs as a whole fail to deliver the hooks necesary for this type of music. for
instance, you
can listen to a tommy feb6 record, and think what you want about it, but those
songs have
the hooks that a pop song needs to at least keep the attention of the listener.

another note, imagine how much better the songs could be if ryo played on them.
you can
really see what he brings to the table of the brilliant green sonically,
especially listening to
the guitar music of TH6. the man is an undersung genius.

The new album of tommy heavenly6 is great, fell in love with you and
+gothic pink+ are excelent ^^

Hmmm, I never compare this heavenly stuff with the tbg stuff. Just enjoy
it as some new upbeat guitar music...

For the first 3 or 4 listens I wasn't convinced, but I love it now. Give
it a little more time! :D
