SLIPKNOT frontman COREY TAYLOR credits his wife with rescuing him from his
downward spiral of alcoholism, which nearly killed him.
The mask-sporting rocker kicked the destructive habit in 2003, but admits he was
bound to become addicted to drink, because alcohol abuse is common in his
family.
He recalls, "I got caught up in the disease that had kinda been building in me
anyway, alcoholism, which runs in my family. My grandfather died of alcoholism.
"I was drinking two or three bottles of whisky a day and not only hurting myself
but hurting people who were my friends.
"It took my wife coming out and going, 'What the f**k is wrong with you? Look at
what you've become.'
"Nobody had done that and if they had I wasn't listening. My wife did and she
saved my life."
